"SISTER. OUR CAR IS GONE!"

Who got towed? We got towed! HAHA *TIP: look for towing signs when ya park places. It's not fun to walk out and find your car gone. It's pretty hilarious actually. HAHA

BUT....This week was so grand! Missions are so amazing. This is the best thing I've ever done. I'm so blessed to be out here. It's a miracle I'm out here! Heavenly Father is so so good. :)

Monday was A BLAST!! We got up, studies, went to our favorite grocery store, Aldis, everything is super cheap there it's wonderful! And our good ol' friend, Brother Billy Vance, wanted to meet us there so he could buy our groceries! Seriously he is so nice, he always buys us stuff haha and bring us food! It was so funny, we were getting milk, eggs and fruit and stuff and he looked at our cart and said, "where's the meat?! Don't y'all ever eat meat?" So he went and grabbed a pizza and threw it in the cart. Hahah He is my favorite.

Then!! We went with a group of sisters from around the mission and played sand volleyball!! And ate watermelon and had a grand ol' time! I saw Sista Frei! She is so cute I love her! She chopped her hair too it's adorable!! Then we came home and went to dinner and had two solid lessons with Diane and Kayla. And oh my it was so funny, Kayla's daughter, the 4 yr old, her name is Zion. Anyway we were talking about how we were going to go to the temple visitors center and she looked at us for a long moment thinking... and then she says "... And we got some fruit snacks because we went to the grocery store today!" Hahahah I LOVE HER! She also calls me "best friend" so yeah, we're BFFS. Heavenly Father is blessing us so much! It is so amazing to be a missionary! I'm so incredibly grateful to be here. I love it so much.

Tuesday we had breakfast with Sister Langford's trainer, before she went home. And then we had to do my 12 week training and things like that. We had dinner with the Robisons and they always make such good food. Like steak, chicken, mashed potatoes (my FAVE!) beans, and so much good stuff. Then Ashley Robison came out with us to Kayla's lesson. The elders came by as well to give Kayla a priesthood blessing. She is really wanting to stop smoking and change and be baptized, so we are still working on it. We know she can and will get there! She has an amazing testimony and she knows the gospel is true. Kayla's two friends were there, Brianna and Darrel. We hadn't met Darrel before either and he said he had met missionaries before at his grandma's house and kinda listened on the sideline. So we were able to talk about the plan of salvation and how God wants all of us back. Itwas so cool to see Darrel's desire to learn more from the beginning of the lesson to the end of the lesson. It completely changed and by the time we were walking out the door at the end, he was reading the Book of Mormon we gave him! The gospel is amazing and so true. I know it's true. It changes lives. It is so cool to be able to share it with others and watch them change. There is no greater joy, I'm telling ya! :)

Wednesday we did a church tour with our sweet investigator Teresa. She said her goal is to be baptized but she has to fix some things first. When she said she wanted to be baptized we were like WHAAT!? She hadn't told us she wanted to be baptized till that moment! We had a sweet lesson with a sweet new investigator we have named Miriam. She is so sweet! We love her and her husband. She has been through a lot and she has such strong faith in Christ. We hope she gets baptized!! :) and her whole fam too! We had dinner with the Torgersens! LOVE THEM. They are such a blessing in our lives. Seriously, ya ever needanything, the Torgersens are there for you. Love them and am so grateful for them. At dinner Sister Torgersen was showing off the hat she found, and she put it on and said: "Yo mama!" Hahahah It was hilarious I was dying!

Thursday was AWESOME! We had so many solid lessons! We had one with Kayla and she committed to stop smoking. Then we were rushing out of her lesson to get to Jacky's to do service for her when we came out to the parking lot to find that our car had been towed! HA HA HAAAAA oh man. So we were rescued by some sisters an hour or so later. We had a solid lesson with Diane about baptism!! And she is so pumped for her baptism she is just the best ever, I love her. Today she was like, "you look like a doll, but I didn't want to tell you earlier because I don't know if you would like that" hahahah it was hilarious. I love her. Then we had an AMAZINGG meeting with a lady named Chante. Chante is a friend of the Brewer family in the ward. She is doing a project on the LDS faith and so she has researched a ton on our faith and missionary work. Sooo basically we are going to teach her! She's awesome! :) BLESSINGSSS!

Friday: ITS FRIDAY FRIDAY, LANGFORD'S ONE YEAR MARK ON FRIDAYYY! WOO!We planned all day. Ate a ton of brownies. And watermelon. And planned some more. Haha it was great! And then we saw our sweet Athina. I love her so much she is the most genuine and loving person. She stuffs us with potato chips and cheese curls. AND She is so passionate about the gospel, she loves it so much. And she loves everyone she meets andsees! She tells Sister Lang and I that we are her daughters. She only gets to see her daughter twice a year, just like I see you Ma twice a year! And so we told Athina she's basically our mom out here. She was just fine with that ;) We saw Agartha as well and talked to the family about the importance of reading the scriptures. God has blessed us with them for a reason! He has commanded us to read them. So don't miss a day without reading :) We are seriously so blessed to have them.

Saturday was a blast! We first went and helped clean the church, it reminded me of when we would do that back at home and how dad would always be like, "Ok kids, were gonna go clean, bust it out, get it done!" Haha and when me and dad went to clean the temple that one time, that was so fun! Love those memories. :) I love you dad. Then we and some elders from our district went and helped the Robisons clean their house. Their grandpa that was living with them just passed, so we went and helped them out. It was so fun! They live out in a small town area, kind of in the boonies. Their house is like a little country house like ya see in movies. I just love it out here! I honestly don't think I would mind living here! It's just so beautiful I love it. Then afterwards we went and saw Kayla. She is still struggling but all is well! We know that she will get baptized some day. Hopefully July 9th. We know Heavenly Father is there for her and will help her. We got some slurpees then headed to check on some potential investigators. We had lunch and then had a lesson with Diane. She is just doing so awesome! We love her to death. I feel like we are like the same person almost haha she is so excited to be baptized! It was so funny, I had said she was so happy, much more happier than she usually is and she was like, "yeah it's embarrassing how happy I am!" It's the gospel! It makes us so, truly happy. :) we were able to go to a baptism with her that night too, our zone leaders asked Sis. Lang and I to sing at it. HA HA hopefully it sounded better than I thought it did. If not, it was terrible! We sang "I Know My Redeemer Lives." And I was so nervous. I don't do well singing in front of people! I was feeling pretty good right before we went up, feeling confident, getting my voice ready to sing, and then I get up there and open my mouth and oh my lands! I had like cotton mouth all of a sudden hahah and I struggled hard core hahah it was so bad but all is well!! The song itself is so beautiful. So it doesn't matter if it sounded terrible, because the message of it is priceless :) But Diane had a good time and she got even more excited for next Saturday!! :) We then stopped by to see Amber, brought her flowers, a card, and brownies. She is really sick lately, we feel so bad. She is a trooper though that's for sure! Seriously, she is just awesome. One of the biggest role models. Love her! The gospel is just amazing, and it's amazing to see people's lives change because of it. Watching the baptism we went to made me tear up because I know how important it is to be baptized. Baptized by the proper priesthood authority in the correct way. I know how proud Heavenly Father is when we obey his command. He loves us and wants us back. Being baptized is the first step in returning to Heavenly Father!! The gospel is so simple. Simply beautiful!

Sunday we had dinner with the Munson family and we celebrated their son's birthday. We had crab and ribs! It was my first time breaking open a crab it was great!! It was so fun! That night we checked on a referral her name is Rhonda. She was super nice and very religious so we will see if we can teach her again, we don't know if she was very receptive to the message of the restoration. But it was such a blessing to meet her!
Heavenly Father is teaching me so many things day by day, week after week. Like... how to drive in Virginia, how to talk to people, how to be timely and organized, how to take care of yourself hahah and other people! What to do when your car gets towed, how the spirit talks to me and following those promptings... So many things. It is AWESOME. But most importantly I learn time and time again that we ARE children of God. We are so loved by the most glorious being. We need not fear or worry because God is in control. I know He is watching over us.I've seen miracles after miracles happen in one day, and the longer I'm out here I realize that each day we are given is truly precious. We only have so much time here on earth, we need to remember to be doing the things the Lord has asked us to do. Every day I'm out here I learn to give more, work harder, love more freely and just enjoy each day. Each day of our lives is a gift from God, each day truly is a miracle. So live it to the fullest! :) Have a blessed week! :)

Sending all my love,

Sister Hymas :)
